I found my marriage meaningless and wanted to go seperate ways


I was not on good terms with my husband. We often quarrelled and argued and sometimes we would not talk for weeks! I also had difficulties in coping with my two young sons. Eventually, I found my marriage meaningless and wanted to go separate ways.

I was an atheist and doubted the existence of God. I have many Christian friends but was never told that I could receive the Holy Spirit. Just when I felt lost in my life, I was told by a colleague that God has answers I was looking for and that He has a simple way for me to know Him. The following day, I met up with the Pastor and he told me God will heal my marriage but I have to follow the Bible instructions to repent, be baptized and I will receive the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues.

Without hesitation, I was baptized by full immersion and filled with the Holy Spirit, in January 1996. Since then, my life has changed. God took away my quick temper and shown me the path to a wonderful marriage and to nurture my children in the ways of the Lord. My husband saw the change in me and came to the Lord a year and a half later. We were blessed with a daughter after we came to the Lord.
